5The following are estimated quotes for size and medium, and does not include matting or framing. Costs also depend on subject matter and detail.
Portraiture (people) – Please add $100 to each estimate in the chart, plus $100 for each additional person (face or figure) in the painting.
Acrylic painting includes professional-grade hanging wire and fasteners on Gallery-wrap canvases only. (A gallery-wrap canvas is a canvas that is about 1.5” – 2” deep and is stretched completely around all four sides – a clean edge with no staples showing. The painting is ready to hang without a frame, although it may still be framed at client’s cost.)
A deposit of half the cost of the painting is required up front to purchase materials.
Commission Work Only: A $150 set-up fee, plus half of the price of the estimate, is required before beginning the piece. If I am requested to photograph the subject, any costs incurred (i.e. film, gas/mileage) will be charged to the client.
A Note to the Purchaser about Framing: Acrylic paintings do not require framing under glass. Pastels, Watercolors, Graphite Drawings, Colored Pencil (usually done on paper or other thin surface such as clayboard) must be framed under glass.
Sales tax would depend on the location the purchase was made. A shipping and handling fee will be added according to size/weight.
